Auto manufacturers, including Honda, are expanding their electric vehicle lineups, and the 2024 Honda Prologue, now available at our Honda dealership, showcases their innovative direction. This electrifying SUV looks and feels like a Honda but with a more eco-friendly powertrain.
Range: How Far Can You Go?
One of the most important measures of an EV is its range. We want to know how far we can go before it’s necessary to stop and charge the battery. If you look at the 2024 Honda Prologue vs. Tesla Model Y range, it’s clear that the Prologue comes out on top. It can go up to 296 miles*, while the standard Tesla Model Y can go up to 260 miles. You also have the option to charge the Prologue quickly, getting up to 65 miles in just 10 minutes*.
If you opt for all-wheel drive, range drops a little in the Prologue, but the quicker acceleration makes up for it. The Tesla Model Y offers a few options, including a Performance model with a 285-mile range. This version of the Model Y has a lowered suspension, quicker acceleration, and a Track mode if you want to test out its performance at the race track.
A Different Cabin Design
These SUVs have very different atmospheres. The Prologue has a warm and inviting feel, much like the gas-powered Honda models. It comes standard with heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. Across the front of the dash, there’s an 11-3-inch touchscreen for the Google-based infotainment system and another 11-inch screen in front of the driver. The Prologue offers plush leather upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The Tesla Model Y has a minimalistic design. Everything in the cabin is controlled using the 15-inch central touchscreen. Google, Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto™ are not offered.
Instead, you can subscribe to Tesla’s streaming services to access entertainment and navigation. The seats are covered in synthetic leather upholstery, but real leather is not available.
