2025 Honda CR-V Seating

Traversing the streets of Houston is much easier in a compact SUV. The 2025 Honda CR-V is an agile vehicle that fits the bill, and we’re going to pit it against the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander. After we elaborate on why the Honda model is the better option, travel to the Honda of Tomball dealer location to see it in action.

Performance

The best place to begin looking when considering how two SUVs measure up to each other is under the hood. The 2025 CR-V provides you with a standard 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 190 horsepower1 and 179 lb.-ft. of torque2 . The 2025 Outlander falls short of the first measure, bringing to bear a standard 2.5L 4-cylinder engine capable of making 181 horsepower and 181 lb.-ft. of torque. The vehicles do share some similarities, like the presence of a standard Continuously Variable Transmission along with standard FWD and available AWD, called S-AWC on the Mitsubishi. At its best, the CR-V provides a 28/34/30 MPG city/hwy/combined3 fuel efficiency rating, besting the Outlander’s 24/31/27 city/hwy/combined4 gas economy, so your rides on I-10 will last longer in the former.

Interior

One area that the 2025 Honda CR-V falls behind the Outlander is in terms of seating capacity, having just five spaces for passengers compared to seven. However, the CR-V provides a greater amount of overall cargo space, up to 76.5 cubic ft. of room5 behind the first row compared to 64.3 cubic ft. of stowing area6 in the Outlander. When you get behind the wheel of the Honda model, you’ll find a variety of comfort-inducing features that surpass the Mitsubishi. For example, the top-tier driver’s seat for the CR-V is an available 10-way power-adjustable chair with 2-way lumbar support and two-position memory, more capable than the available 8-way power-adjustable option with a single memory position in the Outlander. Still, both models include available leather upholstery for their chairs on higher trim levels as well as available leather-wrapped shifters and steering wheels.

Technology

Both of these compact SUVs share many of the same technological features, such as having available wireless phone chargers7. The same goes for each having a standard 7.0-inch driver information display from which you can discern your speed and the remaining gas amount while traveling to Hermann Park. Also, the Honda and Mitsubishi vehicles have standard Bluetooth® wireless technology8 to help you link your device to the car and use it for making calls. One departure between the two SUVs is that the 2025 Honda CR-V has standard speed-sensitive volume compensation to help you hear your desired sounds when riding, which is only available on higher trims of the Mitsubishi. While these models are similar in size, the overall power, efficiency, and comfort of the 2025 Honda HR-V help it pull ahead.
