Pohanka Automotive Group has been a proud partner to the communities we serve since our first location opened in downtown Washington, D.C. in 1919. We employ over 1,700 people who live and work in these communities, and for 106 years we have demonstrated our dedication to our neighbors through continued support of charities, schools, youth programs, and community-based organizations in Chantilly, greater Northern Virginia, Washington D.C., Maryland and Tomball, Texas.

2025 Dog Adoption Day

Honda of Tomball proudly hosted its first-ever Dog Adoption Day, partnering with Operation Pets Alive to help find loving homes for local dogs in need. The event brought together our community, customers, and animal lovers for a day filled with wagging tails and happy endings — and we’re thrilled to share that 12 dogs were adopted into new forever families!

Washington Business Hall of Fame

The Washington Business Hall of Fame, Greater Washington's premier lifetime achievement award in business, proudly welcomed its Class of 2024 at a prestigious gala on November 20, 2024, at The Anthem. Among the distinguished Laureates honored was Geoffrey Pohanka, Chairman of the Pohanka Auto Group, recognized for his outstanding leadership and philanthropic contributions. This esteemed recognition celebrates individuals whose efforts have significantly shaped the local economy, strengthened communities, and enhanced overall quality of life. Congratulations to Geoffrey and the entire Class of 2024 on this well-earned honor.

Chick-fil-A Santa & Reindeer Holiday Spectacular

Honda of Tomball is proud to partner with Chick-fil-A to bring holiday cheer to local families. The festive event featured a special visit from Santa, live reindeer, holiday games, and hot chocolate, creating a joyful and memorable experience for the community. We are grateful for the opportunity to give back and celebrate the season together.

Families Feeding Families

Honda of Tomball supports Families Feeding Families, which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organized by business professionals and community volunteers, and aims to provide a nourishing meal for those in need the day before Thanksgiving. This year, Honda of Tomball assisted in providing meals to 3,500 people.

Honda of Tomball Grand Opening Celebration

On June 20th, 2019 Honda of Tomball, in partnership with the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce, held a Grand Opening Celebration and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Tours of the brand-new facility were provided, showcasing the multiple client lounges, massage chairs, children's play area, and the stunning showroom and service areas. Read more

Tomball Emergency Assistance Ministries (TEAM)

One charity we are passionate about is the Tomball Emergency Assistance Minisitries (TEAM). This non-profit organization runs a resale shop, food pantry, and assitance ministry to provide food, clothing, medical, and other essential items to those in need throughout the Tomball area. Honda of Tomball has also participated in other numerous TEAM events, such as Volunteer Day.

Hurricane Harvey Relief

When Hurricane Harvey devastated Texas and the Southeastern United States in August 2017, the Pohanka team immediately rallied to support our newest neighbors in Tomball, Texas. We launched a fundraising campaign and the response from Chantilly was nothing short of amazing! In less than one week we raised over $20,000 to help with relief efforts in our newest community.

Honda of Tomball Pig Roast

In September of 2019 we had our first annual Pig Roast, where we invited customers and everyone from the community to join us for a cookout in the dealership parking lot.
